Summer Fling

Why do Summer romances fade?  Maybe because the conversation was one sided... or maybe one partner prefers pineapple shaved ice over coconut flavor.  One thing is for sure, the relationship was never the same after a sporty, beach volleyball entered the picture.  C'est la vie!

Costume Party

You know the costume party is heating up when YMCA Biker Dude and Captain Kirk arrive.  The party seemed to be a hit, aside from an awkward moment of silence with Spock...

Atom Reorganizer

Last night, Spock and Stuart were fixing the Atom Reorganizer... it has been broken for months. They stepped inside for a moment to make some final adjustments when Bob thought it would be funny to flip the switch.

Studio Romance...

Soooo Awkward!!! Walked into the studio and found this... getting the weird feeling that I was interupting something.

Super Something or Rather

It is amazing how productive a person can be when they are avoiding the Super Bowl crush of crowds near Phoenix.  I have locked myself in my studio and focused on finishing 2 tutorials for Soda Lime Times "Happy" Issue to be released on March 15th.  Sorry Charlie, no hints for now on what will be featured in the magazine, but I will share a fun bead which as been on my design board for 2 years now.  Crazy how designs/plans get pushed out of the way with normal everyday life:

Baby Hedgehog

"Baby Hedgehog"
 2.4 x 2.1 x 2.2 cm

Fresh from the kiln and ready for the woodland.  The design sketch was pretty straight forward, however the color palette had me second guessing choices of glass from the start.  Truth be told, I changed the colors at the last minute.  The soft-bristle coat features grays, browns, black, gold, and ivory in a complex cane.  I bounced back and forth on the main body color until settling on a limited run from CiM.  The cheeks, well they are adorable...  all said, I'm thrilled with how the little guy turned out.

Hook, Line & Sinker

Catching up on studio demo pictures...  get it?  "Catching" har har.  So lame, but I couldn't help it.

Ben Browne, a talented boro student and gifted photographer,
captured the flamework fish demo at the Mesa Arts Center.  Thanks to Ben for sharing!
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.
