Monarchs in the Moonlight

Comes on a 16 inch sterling silver chain.
Hands down, the best monarch encased bead that has come out of my studio.
I will be sad to see him go.  Enjoy!

Original Terra

Every now and then I like to play with new combinations.  These lovely pairs feature original Double Helix Terra from the studio's private stash, squirreled away for something special.  From left to right, the pairs increase with color saturation.  The intensity of fuchsia is quite vivid.  Sadly, the camera doesn't accurately capture the depth of lush color.

Class Project - August 23 & August 30

The last 2 weeks, students have focused on a project which involves a variety of techniques.  During Week 1, the lesson covered copper mesh, encasing, shaping, flame enameling, and layered dots.  The real fun came on Week 2 when students began to uncover the bead's core detail through cold working and create a highly polished window.  Enjoy!

Chrysalis No. 2

Found this beauty in my garden kiln.   It will be a long wait for this monarch to appear.  Enjoy!

Ambrosia

The spectacular silver reaction is much more lovely in person.  I think these are some of the most beautiful beads to come out of my kiln.  The pops of turquoise shimmer with a oyster-like luster.  Enjoy!

More Rainbows

The proceeds from this set were donated to Beads of Courage in memory of Annemarie Frances.  Her smile could brighten any room.  Thankful for the legacy she leaves behind.

Spring Orphan Beads

The orphan bead container is getting full.  No clue what to do with these, but they seem look nice together.

Hodge-Podge Necklace

A Hodge-Podge of Beads. The entire set includes 31 colorful beads and measure 18+ inches in length. The total flame time: 10 hours (not including cane and stringer prep).  It even includes a sweet duck in the upper left corner.  Totally clipped him out of the photograph on accident.  Love how the necklace turned out!
