Favorite Five

Uncomplicated rounds in a line, no details to distract from the vibrant color combination.  A clean, smooth, straightforward statement of simplicity.  These just make me happy.  Hope they do the same for you!

War Paint

Red symbolized war, strength and power.  White was a symbol of mourning, but could also represent peace.  Blue symbolized wisdom and confidence.  When I see the wild horses grazing along the Salt River, I wonder if their bloodlines trace back to the war horses of old.  A time long past, when bald eagles soared over the rocky banks and the loyal companions carried brave warriors into battle.

True Blue

Update:  The donated necklace raised $100.00 for the Air Force Auction at Minot AFB.  Special thanks to those who bid.  To all members of the military (past and present), thank you for your service.
Working on finishing a few jewelry pieces for a US Air Force silent auction in April.  The necklace features a hollow bead filled with sparkly CZs, a solid sterling silver slider which reads "USAF", a perfectly striped dark blue disc, and two encased beads.

Dogwood Bead Set

Update:  Added a little bit of dotted pizazz to the lovely focal with coordinating accents.
As a child, I often picked handfuls of dogwood flowers for my Mom.  I miss her dearly.

Boys need beads too

I think we tend to associate beads with girlie-girl jewelry, however some of my favorite beads are designed for boys.  They can be strung on a backpack clip or lanyard.  This one is for my nephew, however the design would be great for Beads of Courage donations.  Real life superheroes do not always wear capes!

Jaws

A scupltural demo requested by Kelly.  He measures approx. 6.5cm x 4.5cm x 4cm.  The process involved sculpting the shape, color encasing, then flame enameling.  He comes with his own sign:

Star Spangled with a Sparkle

"Ol' Glory" is the bead design demo for class this week.  Hard to believe it is almost July 4th.  Hope everyone has a safe and happy week!
