Heather is a professional artist born in the Midwest. As a child, she was captivated by the art of glass blowing. The skillful dance of fire and molten glass was something that never left her mind. She has worked with glass in various forms for more than 25 years, including stained glass and flameworking.
Heather was one of only ten artist chosen to create a limited edition bead for Beads of Courage. The Design Challenge bead was unveiled at the 2014 Bead & Button Show. Currently, her flamework art titled "Looking Glass" is on display with the ISGB pOrtrait Exhibit. She loves the challenge of developing and sharing techniques to simplify the art of flameworking, while helping others through giving works programs such as Beads of Courage. Because of her commitment to making beads for children, Heather is a member of the Beads of Courage Hall of Fame.
Heather is currently teaching private lessons and workshops at the Mesa Arts Center. Feel free to visit the Class Link button located on the home page of the blog for more information regarding educational opportunities.
