The Artist

Heather is a professional artist born in the Midwest.  As a child, she was captivated by the art of glass blowing.  The skillful dance of fire and molten glass was something that never left her mind.  She has worked with glass in various forms for more than 30 years, including stained glass, flameworking, and glass blowing.

In 2014, Heather was one of only ten artist chosen to create a limited edition bead for Beads of Courage.  The Design Challenge bead was unveiled at the 2014 Bead & Button Show.  Her flamework art titled "Looking Glass" was included in the ISGB pOrtrait Exhibit.  Published in over 30 flamework books/magazines, she loves to sharing techniques and tutorials to simplify the art of flameworking, while also helping others through giving works programs such as Beads of Courage. Because of her commitment to making beads for children, Heather is a member of the Beads of Courage Hall of Fame.

The tutorial eBook titled Born of Fire, Glass & Love spotlights Heather's passion for giving works.  100% of the book's proceeds continue to be donated to the Beads of Courage program.  Heather was awarded the Donor of Distinction award with the Beads of Courage organization, her book sales raising well over $15k for the charity.
